How do I convert a 24v Solar Charger to 12v?

This is a simple 5 Watt Solar panel that I am hooking up to a cigarette plug to charge my batteries on my truck that I don't drive much. The panel puts out 24 volts. How do I convert it to 12 volts?

Converters are shown in the link below.

However, most Solar Panels are 12 volts. I am thinking your have two panels connected in series to get 24 volts. It that is the case perhaps there is a way to wire them parallel instead of series, this would provide 12 volts and double the current.

Solar Panel Voltage Regulator

3 volt fixed regulators?

I'm looking for a part, something like an LM317, but with a fixed output of 3 volts. Something that could received varying input voltages (from a solar panel) but still put out a consistent 3 volts. As long as the input voltage was greater than 3 volts itself.

If you are looking for a 3-terminal regulator, and don't want to deal with the zener diode & resistor hassle, you should get your hands on an LM7833. These are usually good for 1 Amp, depending on the input voltage.
